This is an amazing book. I gave a copy to every one of the 60+ high school track athletes that I coach. I still read it every time I go through a life transition and learn something new every time.
I read this in one sitting and have returned to it a number of times. It is full of clear and useful ideas for living that Dan John passed along to his daughter at her high school graduation. Dan is a natural story teller and there are many laughs here to go along with down to earth advice that anyone will want to go out and use. Thanks for this.

Deceptively simple book full of practical advice. There are many things in the book that I wish I had learned in high school but had to learn through experience as an adult. One of the best buys I have ever made.
Another great collection of insights from Dan John. He inspired me to begin writing letters to my grandson who is just over a month old. I can't wait till eighth grade graduation.
Great read, I fully expect to pull this book out to read again and again.
I respect Dan John as a strength coach, but I respect him even more as a life coach. This book is an easy read, and contains some really great advice on life in general. It is different from his book "Never Let Go", as that book was provided advice geared more towards an athlete. This book provides more general advice.
This book would be a great gift to your children.
